In conjunction with Earth Science Week Oct. 13 – 19, the Department of Natural Resources is also celebrating National Fossil Day.
National Fossil Day is a celebration organized by the National Park Service to promote public awareness and stewardship of fossils, as well as to foster a greater appreciation of their scientific and educational values. Visit the Department of Natural Resources’ Edward L. Clark Museum of Missouri Geology on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, to see special exhibits and pick up a crinoid stem fossil to add to your collection. The museum is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
